Accommodation Types

An accommodation type is the level at which your pricing and availability varies. If you price a 2–4 man tent differently from a 4–6 man tent, those are two accommodation types in BookingFlow. Every booking, every nightly price and every unit of allocation belongs to exactly one accommodation type.

Each accommodation type belongs to a group:

GroupTypical use
TentCamping pitches for tents
TourerTouring caravan pitches
MotorhomeMotorhome pitches
RoomRooms, cabins, pods
StaticStatic caravans and holiday homes

The group drives the colour of bookings on the Calendar and the Pitch Map, and how your inventory is grouped in the booking portal.

Managing accommodation types

Open Account → App Setup. You'll see an add form and your list of accommodation types, each showing its group icon, name, group, and the number of guests included in the price.

Add a type

  1. Enter the Accommodation Name (for example "Deluxe Tent").
  2. Choose a Group — Tent, Room, Tourer, Motorhome or Static.
  3. Set Included People — how many guests the price covers. Guests above this number are charged as additional adults, children or infants.
  4. Press Add Accommodation.
Prices don't set themselves

A new accommodation type has no prices or availability. Head to Allocation & Pricing to set them — nothing can be booked until you do.

Edit or remove a type

  • Press the pencil icon to edit the name, group or included people, then Save.
  • Press the × icon to delete a type. You'll be asked to confirm — "Are you sure you want to delete {name}? This action cannot be undone."

Deleting a type is a soft delete: bookings that used it are kept, but the type no longer appears for new bookings. If you need to recover a deleted type, contact support.

Included people, adults, children, infants and pets

When you price a stay, the accommodation price covers the included people. Additional guests are priced per night using your adult, child and infant prices; pets are charged per pet. This is why the included-people setting matters — it's what stops you from charging guests twice for the same people.
